Robert Richards has been fishing in the Virgin Islands for 15 years
and has worked for and run some of the best Sport fishing operations
in the VI. Captain Robert and his wife Marni branched out on their
own and are the owners and operators of Offshore Adventures.
The gem of their operation is "Mixed Bag" a 2000 Luhrs 40 Open
Express. Licensed for up to 6 passengers, she provides full size
lavatory facilities, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave,
coffee maker, CD player, fresh water and plenty of seating. The boat
is equipped with the latest electronics, top of the line fishing
equipment, and plenty of shaded areas.
All
this with a huge cockpit with plenty of room to fight your fish!
Mixed Bag is located at the Westin St. John, Resort & Villas; the
open design of his boat puts the captain close to the cockpit
action. Here he can tutor anglers as necessary or assist the crew on
multiple hookups.
All trips are custom designed to fit the schedule of the angler. The
types of trips offered range from inshore to offshore. Inshore trips
involve the use of Live Bait and light tackle. These trips are great
for kids or the angler who just wants to walk away with a .mixed
bag. of fish (not to mention a worn out arm). Inshore trips tend to
yield King Fish, Snappers, Black fin Tuna, Shark and Barracuda.
Offshore trips allow the adventurous angler to experience the famous
North and South Drops. A mixture of trolling and live baiting in
these waters can yield the size fish most of us dream of catching.
Most commonly caught are Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and Blue
Marlin. but the captain constantly searches for activity on the
water or in the sky.
The goal of Offshore Adventures is to deliver an excellent charter,
please the guests, and CATCH FISH. Rob's easy going
personality makes him very popular with all levels of anglers. When
asked by the charter guests .what are we going to catch? Rob's

The live bait and light tackle was great, especially for my youngest
child. It was a real treat to see them casting their own rods and
